On Mira Costa campus in Oceanside there is an art and music building that lacks inspiration and color. In doing this project, I hope to inspire other artists that use this building. The colors are bright and provoke happiness. I think this piece would lift people's spirits.
In San Francisco there is an artist named Jetro Martinez. He has a piece up in Clarion Alley in the Mission that is amazing. He inspires me because he paints a lot of plants and geometric designs. His art gave me the idea to cover a wall in a pattern. -Jessica Fuller

ReplyDeleteI agree with your description, adding this design to the building would definitely add a light happyer feeling on campus, and I think would be fitting for an art and music building. - Youness
ReplyDeleteI like that you used your own art. Maybe a black light installation for night time viewing could be included.

Super rad that you use your own work in this piece. This piece reminds of Austin Powers!! cool colors, nice detail.

This is a wonderful use of color and would definitely brighten up our drab campus. - Ginni Kitchen
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! I saw that you repeated the pattern on the other wall; I think it would also look nice if you put different types of flowers on each wall.

I like the style of this piece. It sort of gives me a Dr. Seuss feel.
