The MiraCosta campus would benefit greatly by exhibiting public art. Our school could make a name for itself by displaying sculptures and other works of art by emerging and well established artists. Both audience and artist alike can appreciate the wonderful setting and beautiful backdrops that our campus has to offer. This sculpture by Robert Verhees entitled Green Flame in particular accentuates the backdrop while still adding structure and style to an existing space. By placing a sculpture such as this on our campus MiraCosta would be joining an esteemed list of institutions that have invested in the arts. –Michael Jennings

That's an interesting sculpture. Would it be placed in the window, or on the ground somewhere behind it?

This is a really cool display, I think creates a more vibrant modern look to the oh so common California palm tree. -Susan Pastoriza
ReplyDeleteI like the way you duplicated the sculpture to better fill the space. -Ginni Kitchen
ReplyDeleteThat's pretty neat, looks like two flags made of palm trees.
